The Party of Principle                                          Minimum Government~Maximum Freedom

"Libertarianism is the view that each man is the absolute owner of his life, to  use and dispose of as he sees fit: that all man's social actions should be voluntary: and that respect for every other man's similar and equal ownership of life and, by extension, the property and fruits of that life, is the ethical basis of a humane and open society."

                                                              --Karl Hess (1923--1994)

"A secure individual...knows that the responsibility for anything concerning his life remains with himself...and he accepts that responsibility."                              --Harry Browne (1933--2006)

"No man's life, liberty or property is safe while Congress is in session."                                                                       --Mark Twain (1835--1910)

"That government is best which governs least."

                -- Henry David Thoreau  (1817--1862)

“I like the libertarian view, which is to leave everyone alone. Even as a kid, I was annoyed by people who wanted to tell everyone how to live."                                                                                              --Clint Eastwood

Get Involved!

The Libertarian Party of West Michigan holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings start at 7:00PM. Social time begins at 6:30PM. Meetings are open to all and this is the place to go to get involved. Come join us and get to know some great people!

Although we are the third largest political party in the United States, the Libertarian Party is not afforded the comforts of corporate sponsorship as are the Republicans and Democrats.  Therefore, contributions of even the most modest amounts are essential in our effort to spread the message of liberty. Please help us by making a contribution. Click on our PayPal link above or send your donations to: LPWM, P.O. Box 3685, Grand Rapids, MI 49501.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Libertarian Party of West Michigan, please e-mail us through the "Contact Us" tab at the top of this page or by regular mail at:  LPWM, P.O. Box 3685, Grand Rapids, MI 49501.

Perhaps you'd like to join the Libertarian Party at the state or national levels as well?  If so, please visit those Website links at the above right. Thank you!
