CALL TO CONVENTION

June 5 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Saturday, June 5 at 4 pm, the Libertarian Party of West Michigan will meet in convention to select delegates to the Libertarian Party of Michigan state convention.  We will convene at the band shell at Riverside Park, 2001 Monroe Avenue, NE, in Grand Rapids.  Take the park entrance that serves the Little League baseball fields.  The band shell is the blue-roofed building on your left, beside the big parking lot.

The state convention is scheduled for June 26-27 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  Its Saturday business session will include the selection of state party officers for the next two years and consideration of amendments to the LPM bylaws and platform.  This year the state convention will also include several training seminars and speakers, including a speech by former Libertarian Party Congressman Justin Amash.  For more information, check out the LPM website.

To participate as a delegate to the LPWM convention, you must pay annual dues of $5 and have joined the national, state or local party at least 90 days prior to the convention.  To be selected to be a delegate to the state convention, you must have joined the Libertarian Party of Michigan at least 30 days in advance of the state convention.

You are invited to bring your own picnic dinner and lawn chair and stay to enjoy dinner and the park following the convention.

If you cannot attend on June 5, but would like to be considered for selection as a delegate to the state convention, then email LPWM Secretary Bill Hall at LibertarianPartyofWestMichigan@gmail.com.
