REVISED CALL TO LPWM CONVENTION ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25 @ 1 PM

This week we received notice that no state convention of the Libertarian Party of Michigan will be held in February, contrary to the early January petition of members calling for a convention to be held within 45 days. It appears that a convention has now been scheduled for April 1, 2023. Hence, we plan to adjourn the Libertarian Party of West Michigan convention earlier scheduled for this coming Saturday, February 4, to February 25, and are sending this revised call to convention to give all LPWM members sufficient notice of the postponed convention. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to you. If you are a current or recent member of the LPM, you should be receiving a notice of the April convention from the LPM at least 30 days prior to the convention advising you of its date and location.
The LP of West Michigan is calling a convention of the members of the LPWM to select delegates to the state convention to be held April 1, 2023. The local LPWM convention will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023, at 1 p.m., at the offices of Abacus Title and Escrow, 985 Parchment Drive, SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. They are conveniently located off of Cascade Road near the I-96 interchange.
To participate as a delegate to the LPWM convention, you must pay annual dues of $5 no later than February 25 and be a member of the national, state or local party, having joined no later than November 27, 2022. To be selected to be a delegate to the state convention, you must have joined the Libertarian Party of Michigan at least 30 days in advance of the state convention.
If you are eligible and would like to be selected as a delegate to the state convention, but cannot attend the LPWM convention on February 25, please contact Secretary Bill Hall at LibertarianPartyofWestMichigan@gmail.com and he will make sure your name is placed in nomination.
For future reference, LPWM events are posted on the LPWM Website, LPWM Facebook page and LPM Website linked below. LPWM business meetings usually occur via the Zoom videoconferencing app on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 pm. Members may participate in the business meetings by emailing for the log in information. Join us and volunteer to help out at upcoming events and activities. |
